Our Story
Romeo and Juliet Cruz founded First Gem Phils. Corporation, born out of their desire to create more jobs in the Philippines.
Starting out with just 10 employees, the company was operating out of the Cruz's home garage.
First Gem Phils. quickly outgrew the garage of founders Romeo and Juliet Cruz. By 1987, they purchased a factory in Sucat, Parañaque to house the company.

Romeo and Juliet's eldest son, RJ, was named President of Gemphil Electronics Assemblies, Inc. He continues to serve as President & Chief Executive Officer to this day.
The company was renamed to Gemphil Electronics Assemblies, Inc., the name it has carried since.

Quickly outgrowing its previous factory, Gemphil moved to Carmona, where it continues to operate out of a 4160 square meter factory inside the Export Processing Zone.
